Funding is available for both new and existing families and because demand is likely to be high, we strongly recommend you secure your child’s place early by arranging a visit to Sankofa Nursery.
📅 From September 2025: 30 Hours for Eligible Children
From September 2025, eligible children from 9 months old up to school age will qualify for 30 hours of funded childcare per week.
This means families currently receiving 15 hours will see their funded sessions double.

How We Support Families at Sankofa

We operate 50 weeks a year, not just term-time — giving families more flexibility.

We also offer term time only spaces if those are more suited to your needs.

Once eligible, your funded sessions are flexible — we’ll help tailor them to fit your schedule.

We accept both 15-hour and 30-hour funding schemes, depending on your child’s age and eligibility.
What Is 15 Hours Funding?
There are a few different government-funded schemes under the “15 hours” offer:

At Sankofa, we look after children between the ages of 2 - 5 years old. We’ll guide you through the options to ensure you get the support you’re entitled to.
Did You Know about Tax-Free Childcare?
Alongside funded hours, you may also qualify for Tax-Free Childcare.
For every £8 you pay into your childcare account, the government adds £2, helping you reduce your overall childcare costs.

Pricing
Explore the various session types we offer at Sankofa Nursery. From full-day sessions to half-day options, we cater to your child's needs and your schedule. Our funded hours cover the core cost of childcare and early education. To maintain our high-quality offering, we also charge an optional ‘Enrichment & Meals Fee’ which covers healthy meals, snacks, and creative resources such as paints, cooking ingredients, and sensory materials. This fee is not mandatory families may opt to supply their own where appropriate. Enroll your child today!
Full-Day
£62 per day or £300 for a full week
8am - 5:45pm
Our full-day session provides a comprehensive learning experience for your child, including meals and engaging activities.
Half Day
£42 per half session
Session Time: 8am - 1pm or 1pm - 5:45pm
The half-day option offers flexibility while ensuring quality care and education.
Additional Hours
£10 per hour
Session Time: Added flexibly to your chosen session
Need extended hours? Our additional hours option is perfect for busy parents. For occasional care needs, you can utilise our services as needed.
