About the Recipe

Colourful, healthy, and hands-on — this no-cook recipe is perfect for helping little ones practice coordination and pattern-making. Encourage your child to name colours, count pieces, and create their own rainbow masterpiece!

Ingredients

  • Strawberries

  • Pineapple chunks

  • Green grapes

  • Blueberries

  • Melon cubes

  • Banana slices

  • Wooden or reusable skewers

Preparation

  1. Wash and cut fruit into bite-sized pieces (grown-ups can handle sharp knives).

  2. Lay the fruit out in bowls or plates by colour

  3. Show your child how to gently push pieces onto the skewer — one of each colour to make a rainbow!

  4. Talk about the colours, textures, and tastes as they build.

  5. Enjoy immediately or refrigerate for a cool snack.
